PANCIT
Written out of college frustration for nobody understanding what her hometown of the “DMV” means (it’s DC, MD, and VA), PANCIT is Jennifer Dragon’s film and TV debut.
It’s a half-hour coming-of-age comedy about a ragtag group of four teenagers in the semi-conservative, super-adventist area of the DMV as they explore their last year of high school together and learn what growing up really means.
As of 2024, PANCIT has now won “Best Screenplay” and “Best New Voice” at the DMV International Film Festival. Watch the full pilot episode here.
“This boy had the nerve to ask me what the DMV means. I said, ‘baby, what is New Jersey?!’”
